Dutch artist Petra Noordkamp () moves fluidly between photography and film. She explores the influence of experiences, memories, movies and dreams on the perception of architecture and the urban environment. She lives and works in Amsterdam where she studied photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. In , her first short film The Mother, the Son and the Architect was shown in an exhibition of her work at Foam in Amsterdam and was selected for various Dutch and international film festivals. She was an artist-in-residence at the American Academy in Rome in In she was commissioned by the Guggenheim Foundation in New York to make a short film about Il Grande Cretto di Gibellina. This film was a.o. screened at the Guggenheim in New York, K21 in Dusseldorf and Centre Pompidou in Paris. Her film When you return I'll be living by the waterside () had its world premiere at the IFFR in Her installation Fragile - Handle with Care was a commission from MAXXI Museum in Rome. In she stayed for three months in Tokyo, a residency provided by the Arts Initiative Tokyo and the Mondriaan Fund. Once in a while she also curates exhibitions. After finishing School for Journalism, Nicole van Kilsdonk went to the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam and graduated in with the film Post Reykjavik. .After making a few documentaries she specialized in writing and directing fiction films. Her work could be called ‘crossover’: stories about the times in which we live told in an accessible way, in which directing the actors is her first interest. She made films for grown-ups as well as for children. Especially the familyfilms Taking Chances and The day my father became a bush travelled around the world widely and won many prizes on international filmfestivals. She made several tv-series short films (SALE!, Zoe), 4 single plays for tv (50 minutes), and 7 telemovies (features mainly for tv), like, Dawnswimmers a much awarded film musical, and Deining, awarded with the Golden Kalf (main Dutch movie prize) and recently Lost&Found. Van Kilsdonk also made a children’s series for tv, totally shot in Suriname (Palemu’s taxi). Untill now Nicole has made 8 feature films: ‘Johan’ () awarded with Grand Prize of the Worldfest Houston. The child’s feature ‘How to survive myself’ (, Audience Award Filmfestival Giffoni). Leendert de Ridder () is a Dutch actor and presenter from Amsterdam. He graduated in from the Amsterdamse Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie. Film and Television During his studies Leendert made his first national appearance in Sterke Verhalen de Film,Het Klokhuis and Villa Achterwerk. After graduating he starred in leading roles in the children series VRijland (NPO Zapp), Het Mysterie Van… (RTL Telekids) and in the Belgian series Ghostrockers (Ketnet). He also played a part in the feature film Wonderbroeders and the short movie Caged (winner best short film at the Vittorio Veneto International Film Festival & Audience Award HBO America’s Rainbow Film Festival). Since Leendert has been playing the role of Mees Kees in the successful feature films Mees Kees Langs de Lijn (winner ‘Gouden Kalf Audience Award’ at the annual Nederlands Film Festival) and Mees Kees in de Wolken (nominated for ‘Zapp Award Best Youth Film ’). He also plays the part of Mees Kees in two seasons (48 episodes) of Mees Kees the series (ZDF Kika, NPO Zapp).
