ANTONIA FRASER

De Britse schrijfster Antonia Fraser werd in in Londen geboren. Zij werd vooral bekend als hertaler van historische verhalen. Verder schreef ze thrillers, romans en biografieën.
Ms Fraser is van adellijke afkomst, haar vader was de graaf van Longford: haar eigen naam is Lady Antonia Margaret Caroline Pakenham. Tijdens haar studie in Oxford begon ze met schrijven en na haar huwelijk publiceerde ze onder een pseudoniem (Jemima Shore) en onder de achternaam van haar man (Antonia Fraser).
Ms Fraser trouwde twee maal: met parlementslid Hugh Fraser en later met de toneelschrijver Harold Pinter.
